VIDEO CLIPS OF DR. WALTER H. SCHMITT TEACHING QUINTESSENTIAL APPLICATIONS:
QA VIDEO CLIPS
"Muscle testing is an important tool in the decision making process of what to do for your patient when confronted by a number of different alternatives."
-Walter H. Schmitt, Jr., D.C., D.I.B.A.K., D.A.B.C.N.
"I have used the core protocols in the QA manual for several years. I have seen results that weren’t supposed to be possible... I began expecting amazing things to happen. This book will show you, step by step, how to create dramatic results, reliably and systematically...the kind of results that get the word around that you are capable of great things."
--Sam Yanuck, DC
Quintessential Applications: A(K) Clinical Protocol (QA) is a new innovative, neurologically-based, comprehensive 15-session course, utilizing fundamental principles of Applied Kinesiology taught in the context of the basic sciences of neurology and biochemistry. QA was developed by Dr.Walter H. Schmitt DC, DIBAK, DABCN. The reference manual, created by co-instructor Kerry McCord Quintessential Applications: A(K) Clinical Protocol, represents the ordered and organized application of all the procedures taught in the Course.
Dr. Walter Schmitt is a graduate of Duke University and the National College of Chiropractic. In 1991, he became the first physician to hold Diplomate status in both Applied Kinesiology and Chiropractic Neurology. As a practicing chiropractic physician since 1974, Dr. Schmitt has served on the Board of Directors of the International College of Applied Kinesiology (ICAK) and as a trustee for the Foundation for Allied Conservative Therapies Research (FACTR). He is an adjunct member of the postgraduate faculty of Logan College of Chiropractic and serves on the Editorial Review Boards of Chiropractic Technique and Alternative Medicine Review. The author of over 70 papers for the ICAK, two books for physicians, Common Glandular Dysfunctions in the General Practice and Compiled Notes on Clinical Nutritional Products, and one book for laypersons, Stop Your Pain Now. Dr. Schmitt lectures nationally and internationally and is renowned for his innovative use of muscle testing for functional neurological and neurochemical assessment.
Dr. Kerry McCord is a graduate of Logan College of Chiropractic and a Diplomate of the International Board of Applied Kinesiology. As a practicing chiropractic physician since 1973, Dr. McCord has served on Committees of the International College of Applied Kinesiology (ICAK) as Chair and Co-Chair, and written 14 papers for publication in the Collected Papers of the ICAK. He is co-owner and clinical director of HealthWorks, a healthcare delivery and health education company specializing in motivational wellness with a special focus on reducing stress while promoting optimum performance, health and vitality. Dr. McCord has lectured nationally and internationally on stress, stress-induced illness and Applied Kinesiology.
The course is organized around the application and mastery of the QA Clinical Protocol. This new Course, Quintessential Applications, began in Philadelphia in October 2005 and will conclude January 2007. Each session introduces far-reaching yet fundamental concepts, and their most efficient application in the context of the basic science driven QA Clinical Protocol.
Dr. Schmitt has produced a paper for the 2005 Proceedings of the
QA is a course for any licensed doctor interested in treating patients with a physiologically sound and neurologically organized, basic sciences based treatment protocol. Although the protocol’s premise does not necessarily require AK for its effective application, AK procedures are the primary treatment modalities taught in the QA educational experience. However, since the organization of the protocol is physiologically based, any effective clinical approach can be employed and will be enhanced by placing it appropriately in the step-by-step protocol. The course is designed for all doctors interested in remarkable results, including those with:
· Diplomates in AK
· No chiropractic neurology experience
· Diplomates in chiropractic neurology
· No nutrition experience
· Diplomates in nutrition
· And everyone in between
The protocol is designed for use in any style of practice (low or high volume). It is just a matter of how much of the protocol is performed during each office visit. Beginning procedures should always be performed, as should assessment and treatment of local problems. This may take as little as two or three minutes. Depending on the time constraints of your office visit, assessments of systemic nutritional and structural factors, endocrine effects and the GI tract will be performed in appropriate order, as time dictates, and according to the neurological hierarchy expressed in the A(K) Clinical Protocol, as care ensues. The use of this protocol will make your office evaluation and treatment procedure more efficient and effective as sources of interference secondary to aberrant descending neural pathways are progressively redressed.
The techniques taught, organized by the A(K) Clinical Protocol, are applicable to, and can be implemented in, any style of practice. The educational goals for the course include:
· Hands-on workshopping of all techniques and procedures
· Integration of all topics taught within the context of the A(K) Clinical Protocol
· Practical demonstration and personal hands-on experience using the accumulated A(K) Clinical Protocol at each session
· Re-organization of your clinical thinking in accordance with the realities of neurology and biochemistry as expressed by the A(K) Clinical Protocol
· Mastery of the course material within the context of the A(K) Clinical Protocol.
